Gaurav Zutshi is Head of Digital Channels product for Wholesale Payments at J.P. Morgan responsible for delivering digital connectivity and corporate payment solutions to our clients across the Asia Pacific. He joined JP Morgan in May 2019.
Prior to this role, Gaurav was based in Mumbai, India as Chief Digital Officer of India’s largest diversified Non-banking Financial Institution (NBFI), Aditya Birla Capital (part of $50B Aditya Birla Group), as a member of the management team reporting to the Group CEO, he led the design and build-out of their digital commerce platform across lines of businesses -life insurance, health insurance, asset management, equity broking. He had an additional role as CEO & Executive Director on the board of a FinTech company, Aditya Birla MyUniverse, one of India’s largest financial product aggregation platform providing clients a seamless way to purchase product recommendations across – investments, loans, and credit cards. Previously, he served as a Head of Products & Innovation - APAC at First Data Corporation based in Singapore where he led the innovation around card processing bureaus, commercial card payments and merchant acquiring.
Earlier in his career, he worked at Citibank Innovation lab in Singapore as an Innovation Specialist building solutions across cards and digital payments space. He was SVP and Global Head of Products at Obopay Inc., which was a pioneer in mobile wallet payments building a digital platform that was deployed across multiple clients in Africa, Europe, the Americas, and Asia. Gaurav leads new product development and innovation at Visa Asia Pacific working across Singapore, Malaysia, and India launching new payment products like Visa PayWave, Mobile wallets, Transit Payments. He started his career at ANZ Bank working in India and Australia in their International Banking team as a Product Manager.
Gaurav has a BE (computer science engineering) from National Institute of Technology, Trichy, India and also has completed an advanced program in Bank Card Management from Chartered Institute of Banking, UK.
